Hellbutcher – Hellbutcher

“Bröderna Hårdrock” took a break from their work under the Nifelheim banner for a while. However, one of the brothers couldn’t stop and says hello with Hellbutcher, the band he gave his stage name to.

Apparently, Hellbutcher has been storing material for a while. That’s why, they welcome us with a pretty full album. Nifelheim was performing a music that could be labeled as black/thrash in terms of style. Hellbutcher takes a different path in his new band. There are intense influences from the proto days of black metal, namely the rawest and most primitive times of black metal that Venom created by combining NWOBHM influences with a satanic lyrical concept, and would later evolve into today’s black metal.

While listening, the aforementioned Venom comes to mind with bands like Bathory, Mercyful Fate, Sarcofago. Hellbutcher has not given up on the Nifelheim tradition in terms of lyrics. Lots of Blasphemy and Satanism. The band includes experienced names such as Martin Axenrot and Fredrik Folklare from the Swedish scene. Therefore, a high-quality work has been achieved in terms of performance.

The album is so out of Hellbutcher’s vision that he wrote almost all of the songs himself and is responsible for many things from the band logo to the album cover. It is a strong contender to be one of year’s best albums for those who want to listen to the rawest form of metal with a good recording having better quality without excessive polish.

The album, which includes a total of 8 songs, says what it has to say and ends in half an hour. It is a wonderful work full of adrenaline from beginning to the end that will captivate the minds of younger listeners and make them drill other old gems, while making old listeners happy with the feeling of nostalgia it creates. If metal still exists and lives on, that’s because the guys who breathe this music like “Hellbutcher” continue to make such music regardless of age and time. Tack så mycket!!!
